Little Red Wagon #360 Lawn Fawn You're One Smart Cookie!

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #360 is hosted by Heather and her challenge is "School Rules!" - something to do with back to school.

Well this one was a bit of a challenge as I didn't know what I wanted to do - a layout or a card.  I went with a card.  I had bits and pieces of what would become this card from parts that hadn't made it on other projects.  I LOVE how this card turned out!  The cookies and turquoise sequin stars shaking around with the cute bird with the one cookie beside him - the sentiment says it all! All the products I used are from Lawn Fawn.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Little Red Wagon #359 Amy Tangerine Better Together - Our Junior Jay

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #359 "Be A Good Sport" is hosted by Sandy.

I decided to create a scrapbook layout for this challenge.  I used Amy Tangerine's Better Together papers and washi tapes.  I added some die cut stars and did a little hand stitching to add some texture to my fairly flat layout.  I did my journaling in my laptop and then cut it into strips to be about to fit it above and below my photos.  The cluster of navy blue stars happened by accident.  I had finished die cutting then and just happened to put them on my work area. As I was moving my things around my desk the stars ended up in the corner of my layout.  It just worked and looked pleasing to my eyes and so I went with it!  :)

Little Red Wagon #358 Mama Elephant Playful Pups Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #358 is hosted by Kate and she wanted us to create projects with those cute fur-ever friends we have in our lives.

We don't have any pets in our house but that doesn't mean that I don't love all the adorable cute stamp sets my favourite companies have.  One of my all time favourite stamp sets is Playful Pups by Mama Elephant and so I knew that I would be using an image from that set.  I decided to make a birthday card.  I used SSS die to create the three square windows as well as one of their exclusive stamp sets for the Happy Birthday sentiment.  The trio of gifts is from a Lawn Fawn winter set from last year. For some interest I added the paw prints all over the front using the same colour ink pad as the card stock.  I finished the card off by using some Lawn Fawn twine.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #357 Let's Get Inky Mama Elephant Panda Love

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #357 is "Let's Get Inky" and I'm hosting it!  I wanted to see some projects using ink but not just using it for your sentiments.

I seem to be on a Mama Elephant kick right now!  I do love their stamps and dies! :)  I decided to create a distress background using distress inks and blended them on watercolour cardstock. I then spritzed water on it to give the watermarks.  I used one of my favourite ME dies to create the border.  I popped it up with foam tape.  I used the clouds die on white and vellum card stock and placed my sentiment on the white piece.  I added this cute panda from their Pandamonium stamp set.  I completed the card by stamping hearts using the same distress inks as my background. I completed the card with a sprinkling of small heart sequins.

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #356 is hosted by Donna and she wanted Happy Birthday projects.

I used my Mama Elephant  Tiny Heroes for the images and Surprise Sentiment for the sentiment.  I decided to create a distress background using four distress inks and blended them on watercolour cardstock. I then spritzed water on it to give the watermarks.  I used very simple Copic colouring for the images. I finished off the card with some small star sequins.

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #355 is hosted by Brenda .  The theme is 'surf's up' - tropical theme.

I made this card using some of the new Lawn Fawn dies that came out in their Summer 2016 line. They have some awesome scene building dies.  The flip flops are from 'Life Is Good' stamp set and coordinating die and coloured it with my Copic markers.

Sketch N Scrap August 15th Layout Sketch - Avalanche!

Hello Everyone

Today's layout sketch is a two photo sketch that I created for Sketch N Scrap.

All the products I used are from Simple Stories Carpe Diem line.  I really love this line.  I love using black and white photos because then I can use any paper colours which is one of the things I have trouble with a lot....picking the papers/embellishments to go with my photos when they are in colour.

Please hop on over and play along with us over at Sketch N Scrap.
We would love to see your cards and layouts creations with our Sketches!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #354 Mama Elephant Distress Background Thinking Of You Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #354 is hosted by Jan and she wanted make sympathy cards.

I have a lot of trouble creating this type of card (I'm sure I'm not alone).  The card I made can be used for a sympathy card but can also be used for just wanting to send a card to someone you're thinking about. I used the Mama Elephant's In My Heart for the image and sentiment.  I decided to create a distress background using four distress inks and blended them on watercolour cardstock. I then spritzed water on it to give the watermarks.  I used very simple topic colouring for the little girl.  The stitched rectangle and circles are from Mama Elephant as well.
