Little Red Wagon Challenge #356 Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #356 is hosted by Donna and she wanted Happy Birthday projects.

I used my Mama Elephant  Tiny Heroes for the images and Surprise Sentiment for the sentiment.  I decided to create a distress background using four distress inks and blended them on watercolour cardstock. I then spritzed water on it to give the watermarks.  I used very simple Copic colouring for the images. I finished off the card with some small star sequins.

Please head on over to the other LRW Girlfriends' blogs and see the wonderful projects they did for this weeks challenge.  The links for their blogs are along the sidebar of my blog.  You can also check them out on the Little Red Wagon blog and then link your projects based on the weekly challenges as well.  We love seeing your creations!!! :)

Little Red Wagon Challenge #355 Surf's Up! Lawn Fawn Smile

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #355 is hosted by Brenda .  The theme is 'surf's up' - tropical theme.

I made this card using some of the new Lawn Fawn dies that came out in their Summer 2016 line. They have some awesome scene building dies.  The flip flops are from 'Life Is Good' stamp set and coordinating die and coloured it with my Copic markers.

Sketch N Scrap August 15th Layout Sketch - Avalanche!

Hello Everyone

Today's layout sketch is a two photo sketch that I created for Sketch N Scrap.

All the products I used are from Simple Stories Carpe Diem line.  I really love this line.  I love using black and white photos because then I can use any paper colours which is one of the things I have trouble with a lot....picking the papers/embellishments to go with my photos when they are in colour.

Please hop on over and play along with us over at Sketch N Scrap.
We would love to see your cards and layouts creations with our Sketches!

Little Red Wagon Challenge #354 Mama Elephant Distress Background Thinking Of You Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #354 is hosted by Jan and she wanted make sympathy cards.

I have a lot of trouble creating this type of card (I'm sure I'm not alone).  The card I made can be used for a sympathy card but can also be used for just wanting to send a card to someone you're thinking about. I used the Mama Elephant's In My Heart for the image and sentiment.  I decided to create a distress background using four distress inks and blended them on watercolour cardstock. I then spritzed water on it to give the watermarks.  I used very simple topic colouring for the little girl.  The stitched rectangle and circles are from Mama Elephant as well.

Sketch N Scrap August 5th 2016 Simon Says Stamp You're So Cool Card

Hello Everyone

My card for today's blog post is one I made based on a card sketch I designed for the August 5th 2016 card sketch for Sketch N Scrap!!

I used Simon Says Stamp products for this card. I used SSS stackable rectangle and circles for the layers.  The image is an older stamp set which I coloured with my Copics and then glazed with glossy accents.  I finished off with a simple sentiment.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #353 CASE Jennifer Mcguire Inking Modeling Paste

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #353 is hosted by Heather and she wanted us to CASE a card from one of our favourite crafters who inspire us   :)

Well as I'm sure a lot of you will agree one of the first people that came to my mind was Jennifer McGuire. I love how Jennifer takes products and shows us how to use them in different ways that you would think.

The card I CASEd was one that she used embossing paste and ink to create a cute card for one of her daughters.  I used some different products to get the same effect.  I used modeling paste instead of embossing paste but the effect is the same.

Sketch N Scrap August 1st Layout Sketch Amy Tangerine Better Together

Today's layout sketch is an awesome two photo sketch that Heather Hall of  Sketch N Scrap designed!!
For this layout I used my favourite product line right now which is the Better Together line designed by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts! I love how this page turned out.  It's simply embellished as my layouts usually are but I have my photos and story which are the most important to me and the reason I scrapbook.

Little Red Wagon #352 Christmas In July Lawn Fawn Slider Card

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #352 is hosted by Sandy and it's "Christmas in July!"...Anything related to christmas   :)

So what's more appropriate than an adorable penguin skating into the holidays!!! This is another card I used my Lawn Fawn products for.  I mixed products from previous and the newest release.  The newest release has the awesome slider dies that make creating these slider cards so much earlier than before.

I started off with using the largest of the smaller set of rectangle cross stitched on a piece of watercolour card stock.  I white heat embossed snow flakes on it and them went over it with tumbled glass distress ink with my blender tool.  I stamped my sentiment with black ink as well as the ice my penguin is skating on.  I used Copic markers to colour my penguin and shade the ice a bit.  I used one of the small slider dies for one the ice so that the penguin could skate.  I also added glossy accents to the ice to make it seem icey :)   I finished off the card with adding some dew drops from Pretty Pink Posh.

Sketch N Scrap July 20th Lawn Fawn Yay Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone

I made this cute birthday card using the some of the new Lawn Fawn papers, stamps and dies for this fabulous sketch by Lisa at Sketch N Scrap!!

I'm pleased with how this card turned out!  I like to try and think outside the box with sketches sometimes and see what I can come up with.  I think it's a great way to stretch those sketches and even if you see a sketch that might not appeal to you right off the bat try and think of a way that you can create something that is more your style.  Remember that sketches are there for inspiration.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #351 Lawn Fawn You Are So Cool

Hello Everyone

This week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #351 is hosted by Kate and she wanted "I'm Hungry" - using food in our projects. :)
For this card I used some Lawn Fawn products I had. I decided to go to a basic card design and wanted to show my cute Copic coloured popsicles.  I used a patterned paper for my background which I die cut with the largest cross stitched rectangle die.  I then used the medium scalloped border die for above and below my main section.  I popped the scallop and image/sentiment section with foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

Little Red Wagon Challenge #350 You're A Star Distress Galaxy Background

Hello Everyone

I am hosting this week's Little Red Wagon Challenge #350.  I wanted to see stars on the girlfriends' projects!

I love all the galaxy backgrounds I have been seeing using distress inks and decided to give it a try!  I love how my background turned out!  Once my background was completely dry, I stamped some stars with my Versamark ink pad and then used white embossing powder and heat set it all.
I used the sentiment from an order Lawn Fawn stamp set (You're A Star) and white heat embossed it as well. I added the brush stroke at the last minute to give one of the stars a shooting star effect.
